It may be named after the home city of a prehistoric cartoon family (albeit with questionable family values – seriously, Fred, stop bowling and boozing and help Wilma look after the kids, you gender-stereotyping oaf), but there's nothing two-dimensional about Bedrock Records, the label set up by progressive house main man John Digweed. The label has become a hallmark for quality house and techno over the years – charting regular tunes from names like Guy Gerber and Steve Lawler – and 2014 marks 16 years of big tunes. Digweed is celebrating with this show at Electric Brixton, featuring a set from the man himself and high-profile special guests, including Josh Wink, Pig & Dan and Spencer Parker. Anyone travelling to the club in a foot-powered car with no floor scores big bonus points, from us at least.
