This evening of talks, songs, poetry and readings commemorates the Seventieth anniversary of two seismic events: the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising and the London suicide of Bundist organiser Szmul Zygielbojm, who sat on the National Council of the Polish Government in Exile.
Warsaw Ghetto survivor Wlodka Blit-Robertson shares her memories of the time, while Polish embassy spokesman Robert Szaniawski and Jewish Socialists’ Group founder David Rosenberg discuss Zygielbojm’s life and work. Yiddish singer Rachel Weston performs songs from the Ghetto, accompanied by Carol Isaacs of the London Klezmer Quartet.
