A season of films featuring legendary ballerina Anna Pavlova, a continuation of the celebrations marking a century since Pavlova made her home in London. The season opens with 'The Dumb Girl of Portici' (1916), an adaptation of a Daniel Auber opera, in which Pavlova reveals her dramatic skills playing a poor mute girl who falls in love with a nobleman. The rest of the season is made up of documentaries covering Pavlova's life on and off stage, including the intriguing new film 'Madam and the Dying Swan', which follows the journey of Pavlova's famous solo 'The Dying Swan' as it is passed down to new generations of ballerinas.
