Sergio Mendes And His Orchestra , Aloe Blacc, Baxter Dury (Fri) Chic featuring Nile Rodgers, Cameo, Betty Wright, Alice Russell (Sat) Nouvelle Vague perform 'Dawn of Innocence', Swing Out Sister, St. Etienne (Sun). Devised by Wayne and Gerardine Hemingway, Vintage Festival features an array of vintage and retro music, fashion, film, art and design, with a market boasting over 250 sellers and 45 workshops. Located at a new venue – known as 'The English Versailles' – this year's event features a brace of nightclubs including the Soul Casino, Let it Rock and a roller disco, plus great food, cocktails and even dance classes. Bossa nova hero Mendes performs his quiet storm of Beatles-influenced Latin songcraft, Chic and Cameo bring the funk while The Damned are sure to add a touch of punky abandon.
