The Cinema Museum presents two superb documentaries filmed onsite for BBC Four’s ‘Timeshift’, both introduced by the programme’s makers. First up, ‘Dear Censor’, which recalls some of the more explicit exchanges between filmmakers and censors at the British Board of Film Classification. Staff from the BBFC join for a Q&A session after the screening.
‘Epic: A Cast of Thousands’ is next, taking a behind-the-scenes look at some of the biggest epic films ever created, including ‘Ben-Hur’, ‘The Ten Commandments’ and ‘Cleopatra’. Both documentaries run one hour.
