The global Edition hotels are known for being glamorous ‘destination’ spots and the London outpost is no different. Since opening in 2013, it has hosted some seriously wild parties and seen many VIPs come through the opulent Berners Tavern restaurant which has floor to ceiling artworks. All the rooms have a warm intimate feel with wood panelling and furry blankets – sort of feels like you’re staying in an Alpine chalet, but in central London. There’s the Punch Room bar for intimate drinks and a decadent foyer which is a perfect spot for people watching.
We checked prices for Saturday nights at the London Edition which started at £345 in mid January to around £715 in August.
Berners Tavern must be one of the most photographed hotel restaurants in London with it’s ornate high ceilings, glitzy art packed walls and circular central booths. Food is Jason Atherton’s modern British menu.
Sure does. The Punch Room is a small and atmospheric space which feels a bit like an old gentleman’s club.
On the edge of Fitzrovia, the London Edition is a short walk to the restaurants on Charlotte Street and the thrum of Oxford Street. It’s also just next to Soho so a great place to rest your head after a big night out there.
Tottenham Court Road tube station is a short walk away.
Go to Berners Tavern for brunch on Saturday and be sure to flag down the bloody mary trolley where you can make a bespoke tipple. The ultimate decadent hangover cure.
