Wimbledon Bookfest

South London literary festival with family events, signings, films, performances and workshops. The Big Tent on Wimbledon Common hosts: 'Maisy Storytelling' and craft activities (Oct 7 2pm; £5; age 3+); 'Animal Tales' with Terry Jones (Oct 8 2pm; £7; all ages); Lauren Child book signing (Oct 9 11.30am-12.30pm; £7; all ages); 'Wombles Sing-a-Long' (Oct 9 2pm; £7; all ages), with writer and musician Julian Butler and Womble appearances throughout the day. Events at other venues include: 'Make a Film in a Day' workshop with the Young Film Academy (St Mark's Church Hall, St Mark's Pl, SW19, 7ND; Oct 1 10am-5pm; £40; age 10-16); 'A Mouse's Tale' performed by Page to Stage followed by a Big Draw art workshop and animation screening (Hillside Church, 37 Worpole Rd, SW19 4JZ; Oct 1 2.15-4pm; £7; age 2-8).
