Time Out says

Don’t just plonk your kids down in front of Netflix and presume they’ll be happy with that. Your tots are owners of very discerning minds and they want avant-garde cartoons and foreign language animation. The Barbican’s family film week is delivering just that, with seven days celebrating the best new movies from all over the world alongside live introductions, free workshops and activities and flash film quizzes. Head along to screenings like ‘Spectacular Shorts’ – bite-sized films introducing the youngest audience members to international cinema and out-there animation styles, and ‘Kirikou and the Wild Beasts’ – the screening of a rarely seen Michel Ocelot film that was never theatrically released in the UK.
