Being called 'my favourite songwriter' by Simon Cowell clearly hasn't done the ubiquitous Emeli Sandé any harm. The Scottish singer started last year as an up-and-comer and arrived in 2013 having notched up not one but two Olympic performances and the biggest-selling album of the year. She's even been called a 'national treasure' at least once. Okay, so she's about as inescapable as sand after a beach holiday, but it's hard to deny that she oozes class and soul. She's supported tonight by Hackney-based MC and cheeky chappy Green – so they'll no doubt be performing his Sandé-featuring track 'Read All About It' together – and MPC-wielding producer and songwriter Naughty Boy.
