British Sea Power (Aug 26), The Levellers (Aug 28), Puressence, The Men They Couldn't Hang, John Otway, Mostly Autumn. Galtres devotes its time to booze, music, fun and food, with more than 100 beers and ciders sourced solely from Yorkshire, along with the (mostly) organic food. Now in its seventh year, the festival introduces a comedy tent and brings back the ArtsBarge Cabaret. Headlining Friday and Saturday nights will be the UK's premier psychedelic boy scouts BSP and veteran providers of rough-hewn, fiddly ait-folk cum tramp-rock, but Saturday night's healiner has yet to be announced, so keep one eye on www.galtresfestival.org.uk.
