A whole host of entertainment to celebrate the passing of the Olympic torch through east London. Live music comes courtesy of Nairobi-London seven-piece OSB, who unite the ultra lo-fi nyatiti (a plucked lyre-style instrument) with pulsing percussion, bass, guitar, voice and drums, while LT effortlessly builds bridges between rolling Indian raga rhythms, Afro-Cuban grooves, Acid Jazz/funk and free flowing improvisation, and South American rockers LC provide their energetic stew of jungle grooves, psychedelic twang and Amazonian cumbia. Plus, drumming displays, street dance lessons, DJs and, not forgetting, a glimpse of the torch at 4.20pm.
