The all-female FeMusa String Ensemble, led by Azerbaijani violinist Nazrin Rashidova. Elgar's 'Larghetto' from Serenade for Strings in E minor, Op 20 ; Fauré's 'Après un rêve'; Britten's 'Sentimental Sarabande' from Simple Symphony, Op 4; Grieg's 'The First Meeting' (from Two Melodies, Op 53); and F Amirov's 'Nizami Symphony' a new musical genre, known as the 'symphonic mugham', being a tribute to the composer's homeland, inspired by the poet Nizami Ganjavi. (The concert is preceded by a reception and photo exhibition. It is organised by The European Azerbaijan Society, in remembrance of the victims of the Armenian–Azerbaijani conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh.)
