London Improvisers Orchestra

Born out of Butch Morris's 1997 CMN London Skyscraper tour, this sprawling collective meets on the first Sunday of every month. Composer and performers are selected anew each time and create and rehearse a new piece of music during the day, then perform it in the evening. Regular members of this ten-year-old improv institution include Ian Smith, Alan Tomlinson, Lol Coxhill and Evan Parker.
