Taking Portuguese Fado into a new dimension Madredeus add gothic folk song, haunting Nyman-esque chamber arrangements and touches of jazz improvisation to create their own haunting sound world. Regular keyboardist Carlos Maria Trindade and the string section of Jorge Varrecoso, António Figueiredo and Luís Clode (violins/cello) tonight's performance also features stunning new vocal talent Beatriz Nunes.
