Often compared to Bill Frisell and best known for his work with the likes of Elvis Costello, Tom Waits, John Zorn and the Lounge Lizards, Ribot's simple, delightfully dissonant guitar style brings the sleazy effects and swagger of Duane Eddy-style rock ’n’ roll to post-bop and Latin jazz material. Here he makes a rare appearance with his classic trio, including bassist Henry Grimes and drummer Chad Taylor. This heavily experimental group explore the outer limits of artfully noisy punk-jazz, with firecracker results.
