John Lydon’s sneering post-punk crew reformed in 2009, apparently bankrolled in part by the Sex Pistols reunion shows two years before. PiL perform tonight in their current incarnation, with Lydon backed by ’80s members Bruce Smith and Lu Edmonds and new bassist Scott Firth, and cranking out a wide range of fragmented, jittery, funky and roaring material ranging from their scorching 1978 debut single ‘Public Image’ to songs from their new album ‘What the World Needs Now…’.
