Song Books + Leon Mitchener + Kerry Young

To mark the centenerary of John Cage's birth, a line-up of acts play works by or inspired by the man. Headliners comprising Lore Lixenburg, Greg Rose and Robert Wordy perform Cage's notoriously strange 48-song work, 'Song Books', that also includes 42 'instructions' that are often theatrical and way beyond simple written musical notation. Also, free improv from pianist Mitchener, who draws from jazz, classical and electronic influences.
