Kim Sheehan (soprano), Tülay Uyar (soprano), Leslie MacLeod-Miller (bass-baritone), The Belle String Quartet and pianists Keith Beresford and Christopher Stokes perform some of the finest instrumental music as transcribed into songs, both classical and contemporary. Some of the pieces are also played as originally composed, giving the opportunity to appreciate both forms. The composers represented include Bach, Chopin, Dvorák, Borodin and Mascagni. (The Chopin includes rarely heard transcriptions of some of his piano works made during his lifetime by his friend, the mezzo soprano Pauline Viardot.
