Splashgirl

Mesmerising new piano/bass/drums trio from Norway, featuring pianist Andreas Stensland Løwe, the unusually named Splashgirl create their own brooding sound universe full of electro drones, haunting and unsettling effects and powerful slabs of musical tension. Playing music from their aptly named, and stunning new album 'Pressure' (Hubro records), they build extraordinairy atmospherics that eventually break into cathartic melodic relief. A rare show from a refreshingly different Scandi-jazz band.
