The Japanese violinist Taro Hakase presents a concert in aid of the orphans of the Japanese tsunami. With violinist Akiko Ono, pianist Maciej Janas, Seia Lee (soprano) and volunteer musicians from Royal Academy of Music string ensemble. Music includes Caccini's 'Ave Maria'; Puccini's 'O mio babbino care'; Shostakovich's Five Pieces for two violins and piano; Hubay's 'Carmen'; Brahms's 'Hungarian Dance No 5; Taro Hakase's Symphonic Poem 'Hope' (from 'Final Fantasy'); and 'Himawari'. (In aid of Japanese charity The Tohoku Rainbow House, whose aim is to provide educational and emotional support for orphans affected by the events of March 11 2011.)
