The xx + Wild Beasts

Louche teen trio The xx peddle their melancholic boy-girl sophistico-pop, as on recent (self-titled) debut album, which reveals them as kindred spirits of Mazzy Star and The Cure, but also fans of dubstep and R&B. Plus support from Kendal's purveyors of shimmering, elegant indie-tronica which leans heavily on Hayden Thorpe's rather divisive, quavering falsetto.
