Vladimir Ashkenazy conducts the Philharmonia Orchestra in a spectacular finale to their Sibelius series, with the Pelléas et Mélisande Suite and nature-inspired Symphony No 2. In between, Finland’s Helena Juntunen is soloist in the tone poem for soprano and orchestra, ‘Luonnotar’ (‘Mother of the Seas’), plus a selection of orchestral songs.
