A Sichuan pop-up is coming to London (and it’s vegan)

A Sichuan pop-up is coming to Dalston, and yep, just like almost everything else in London at the moment, it’s vegan.

The pop-up, called V.Sichuan, will run for three weeks at Weino BIB, a taproom and deli that specialises in natural wine. Expect dishes along the lines of slow-cooked aubergine with chilli, garlic and ginger, and chewy noodles with seasonal greens and mapo tofu (that’s tofu cooked in a spicy sauce). For the more adventurous, there will be liangfen, Chinese noodles made with mung bean starch and dressed in ‘punchy flavourings’. There’s also the option to match each course with natural wine. It’s a great little wine bar so we reckon that will be nice.

V.Sichuan will be at Weino BIB (39 Balls Pond Road, N1 4BW) from Thursday April 5 until Saturday April 21.
