Few restaurants would announce their newest opening with a sensuous Renaissance painting-esque tableau, featuring Jesus simultaneously slurping on spaghetti and mournfully holding a pizza aloft. But it's exactly what we'd expect from Big Mamma Group. This outfit is the brains behind bonkers temples to Italian culinary kitsch including Gloria in Shoreditch, Fitzrovia’s Circolo Popolare, and most recently Ave Mario in Covent Garden: they're known for their gargantuan dishes, fun-loving vibes and kitschy, highly insta-worthy interiors.

Now, they've announced their newest restaurant Jacuzzi will open on January 20, 2023, in an old bank on west London’s High Street Kensington. Their new branch will have room for 170 diners across four floors, including a Sicilian-style mezzanine terrace with a retractable roof.

And the food? Well, these are the people known for serving up lemon meringue pie slices the size of baby seals, so needless to say, it's flashy and extravagant. Dishes include a mammoth truffle pasta for two, served up inside 4kg wheel of pecorino, and a decadent chocolate fondue for two, served with churros. It sounds like a true-to-type addition to the Big Mamma family, perfect for anyone who wants to feast like a Renaissance princeling in party-ready surroundings.
