Quebec circus legends Cirque du Soleil have been winter visitors to the Royal Albert Hall for 30 years now – if you want a heads up on when the apocalypse is coming, it’s when the company doesn’t make an autumn announcement of a run beginning the following January.
And though there are certain common factors uniting Cirque du Soleil shows – spectacular acrobatics, spectacular design, fairly old-school clowns – then there is of course tremendous variation. While you’re never going to go particularly wrong there’s no denying there was a lot of love for steampunk spectacle Kurios: Cabinet of Curiosities when it called in back in 2023, including a four-star review from Time Out that praised the show’s ‘eye-popping spectacle and inventive playfulness’ as it loosely traces the story of a madcap inventor who shocks himself into strange world of wondrous beings (doing circus tricks).
Although most shows from the Cirque usually announce a cheeky extension until early March, we’re told that this run of Kurious is ‘non-extendable’, so if you’re looking to see the company on top form, snap up a ticket to the show’s seven-week 2027 run while you can.
The best way to ensure you can get hold of tickets as soon as they are available is to sign up to the official waitlist ahead of tickets going on sale on September 24, 2026.
Time Out has teamed up with Cirque du Soleil to offer those who do sign up to the waitlist the chance to win one of five pairs of VIP tickets to Kurios on February 5, 2027.
