Coldplay are doing something no band has ever done before: reaching double digits for the number of appearances at London’s Wembley Stadium in a single tour. That’s right, the group is at Wembley Stadium for 10 nights. That’s more of a mini-residency than a leg of a tour – and it’s officially underway.
Coldplay’s mammoth Music of the Spheres world tour has been running since early 2022. Over the course of Coldplay’s Wembley gigs, nearly one million people will be treated to their signature showmanship.
There are now only four shows left before Chris Martin and co break the world record. Up to this point, things have gone pretty smoothly, with huge performances and a spectacular range of setlists. This week, however, the gigs will be disrupted by tube strikes – which have forced Coldplay to reschedule two Wembley shows.

When are the rescheduled Coldplay Wembley shows?
Coldplay announced that the final two shows of their Wembley residency (September 7 and 8) have been rescheduled to Saturday, September 6 and Friday, September 12 respectively.
The band said: ‘Without a tube service, it’s impossible to get 82,000 people to the concert and home again safely, and therefore no event licence can be granted for the nights of 7 and 8 September. To avoid cancelling the shows, our only option is to reschedule.’
What to do if you have tickets for Coldplay’s rescheduled shows
Fans with tickets for the original shows on September 7 and 8 can use the same tickets for their respective new date. Fans that can’t attend a rescheduled show will be able to get a full refund, as long as they ‘contact their point of purchase before 12.00 BST on Tuesday September 2’.
What time do doors open?
Doors open at Wembley at 5pm, with the first support act starting at 6pm.

Last-minute tickets
Tickets for Coldplay at Wembley are like gold dust. Ever since the gigs sold out last September, eager fans have been scouring resale sites for scraps.
You may be in luck, though. Due to the band having to reschedule two of their shows because of strikes, a number of fans may no longer be able to attend. All returned tickets for the rescheduled shows on September 6 and 12 will go on sale at 11am on September 3 on Ticketmaster.
