Fulham’s Thames-side (and dog-friendly) urban beach is back for summer

Start practising your resting beach face, because a truckload of golden sand is headed for Fulham. More than 100,000 landlocked Londoners headed to Neverland London last summer for a taste of coastal fun and now the Thames-side urban beach is back for another round.

From May 3, Wandsworth Bridge Road’s city beach will be home to cabanas, daybeds, beach huts and barbecues. Unfortunately, there's no BYOB policy like last year. But you can still bring your pooch along and there’ll be grub from the BBQ Club – Jimmy Garcia’s pop-up restaurant – which will be knocking up cocktails, beer and bottomless brunch, including frozen piña coladas and bottomless prosecco

When you’re done soaking up the ‘seaside’ sun, there’s a jam-packed series of events to get involved in, including yoga and circuit sessions on the beach, cocktail masterclasses, beach partiesglitter artist makeovers, sand sculpting, croquet, shuffleboard, table tennis, and beer and prosecco pong. Phew.

If you’re after the full VIP spring break experience you can pay extra to hire beach huts and party beds. Bangarang.

Neverland London will be open from May 3 to the end of August on Wednesdays to Fridays, 6pm to 11pm, Saturdays, 12noon to 11pm and Sundays, 12noon to 8pm. Entry starts at £5, some activities may be ticketed. Advance booking is advised.

Rooftops more your thing? Good news! Skylight is returning for summer
