London’s streets were deserted on Christmas Day

If you ventured into central London in the run-up to December 25 you were probably met by a barrage of elbows-out shoppers, blocking your way at every turn. Even without Christmas in the mix, a strut down Oxford Street can make you feel more like a salmon swimming upstream than a sassy metropolitan lad or lass.

So these photos taken by designer Justin Bramwell are a breath of fresh air. Literally. There’s not a bus, car or motorbike in sight!

They were snapped early on Christmas morning as he zoomed around the empty streets on his bike. Take a look at Covent Garden, Chinatown, Oxford Street and Piccadilly Circus, totally void of humans and use the joy you feel looking at them to banish the back to work blues.
