A new west London food festival has great deals at these excellent restaurants

If you’re strolling through the city over the next few months and catch a whiff of something saucy in the air, chances are there’s a food festival afoot. This summer, we can hardly move for the number of gourmet galas and cuisine-focused carnivals descending on the Big Smoke. And the latest one to join the calendar is here for a whole month. 

Plated will bring together restaurants, bars and hotels across the King’s Road and Knightsbridge in west London to offer exclusives on food and drinks. Festival-only menus and new dishes, chef collaborations, complimentary cocktails and one-off dining experiences are all set to be on offer as part of the fezzie, which will kick off on August 1. 

More than 30 venues have signed up to the food fest so far, each one putting their own spin on things. Hawksmoor’s Knightsbridge location, for example, will be offering a discounted set menu at £25 for two courses or £30 for three, including a complimentary drink on arrival. Mexican restaurant Ixchel is serving its two-course lunch menu to Plated festivalgoers for £28 with a complimentary dessert. King’s Road bar The March Hare will do you one of everything on the menu for £95 (and we counted 10 plates including one sweet treat), or a fish and chip dinner for two for £12 if you purchase a bottle of French fizz. 

Other big names including Time Out fave The Cadogan Arms, fine dining sushi spot CLAP and iconic department store Harvey Nichols are on the line-up of participating venues this year. We’d recommend heading west with an empty stomach if you want to make the most of the festivities. Plated runs from August 1-31 2026.
