Since the Beast from the East blew in from Siberia, Londoners citywide have been struggling with inappropriate footwear, delayed Deliveroo orders, unpredictable TfL services and a whole host of other snow-related gripes.

Sadly though, the impact on some city-dwellers is much greater. StreetLink is a website and mobile app that enables members of the public to alert local services when they see someone sleeping rough in England and Wales. Of the 3,600 alerts the Streetlink team received nationally in the snowy 24 hours from Monday morning to Tuesday morning, 2,032 were from the capital.

There are now three super-easy ways you can report a rough sleeper to Streetlink:

Call 0300 500 0914.

Visit www.streetlink.org.uk and drop a pin to show exactly where you saw someone sleeping rough.

Download the Streetlink App from the Apple Store or Google Play Store.

It takes no time at all, and it could make all the difference for a vulnerable Londoner.

Now read about another app that you can use to help London’s homeless.
