Violet Cakes in Hackney is about to get royally popular.
Prince Harry and ‘Ms Markle’ have chosen Claire Ptak, owner of the east London bakery, to make their wedding cake. This morning, Kensington Palace confirmed that the couple have asked Claire to create a lemon elderflower cake covered with buttercream and decorated with fresh flowers to ‘incorporate the flavours of spring’.
Let it be known: we named Violet Cakes as one of London’s best bakeries in December last year. Maybe Harry and Megs got the idea from us...?
