Londoners love their locals – that’s why we started the Time Out Love London Awards. The initiative celebrates local venues and small businesses, letting loyal residents rally round their favourite shops, pubs, restaurants, parks, culture spots and more. Over a four-week period, nearly 60,000 votes were cast for London’s most loved local spots in 14 categories. Now they’ve all been counted and we’re ready to announce the winners for 2018.
Our citywide award-winners are a varied bunch, from iconic landmarks and legendary gig venues to tiny neighbourhood spots with a passionate local fanbase. South London pride flowed this year: for the first time since the awards began, the majority of winners are south of the river, including The Cinema Museum, currently fighting to stay open, and SE15 landmark Peckhamplex.
