Sometimes it’s tough being the boss. Mayor Sadiq Khan has released a video recorded for the SXSW festival in Texas, which starts off as a Jimmy Kimmel-style ‘Celebrities Read Mean Tweets’ skit but quickly builds into a poignant message about hate.
In the video, Khan reads out some of the racially abusive tweets he has received since becoming London Mayor to highlight the growing risks faced by users of social media platforms. He’s calling for tech companies to be vigilant and work together with politicians and the media to end online hate. Check out the clip below.
