Acrophobes, look away now: there’s a dizzying new dining concept heading to London that’ll put the sky-high views of the Shard to shame.

Taking off on August 9, Deliveroo’s new Roocopter One will be flying hungry passengers 1,000ft in the air for the world’s first helicopter dining experience – a chance to chow down whilst soaring over some of the city’s landmarks, and admire London from twice the height of its current tallest restaurant, the 574ft-above-ground Duck & Waffle.

Ordering before you board, you’ll be able to choose from Deliveroo faves such as Wagamama, Chipotle and kebab joint Bababoom, before you attempt not to throw it all back up again whilst cruising over the capital.

The first free trials are already sold out, but the Roocopter is planning to fly again later in the year. Tickets will be worth a reasonably hefty £149.

But hey – if that high-altitude pita wrap does make you a bit green, at least the views will be good, right?

Like to chew with a view? Try these other London restaurants with skylines to die for.
