In this, the bicentenary of Verdi’s birth, Opera Integra presents a modern production of one of his greatest and most popular works. The hunchback jester of the title tries to protect his daughter Gilda from the attentions of the venal Duke for whom he works... with tragic results.

Directed by Isabelle Hatton, the opera is set in a basement “Speakeasy” called “Duke’s Bar”, selling illegal alcoholic drinks in 1920s New York. With musical director Brian Galloway and accompanied on piano by Anthony McCarthy.
