Events kick off, at 6.55pm, with 'Maria de Buenos Aires', the only opera written by Astor Piazzolla and poet Horacio Ferrer and the only tango opera in the world. It's followed, at 7pm, by 'The Hidden Valley', Richard Barnard's opera fairytale in which a river-princess falls in love with a cow herder and a king gives up his power. Finally, at 8.55pm, there's Kerry Andrew's 'Dart's Love', about a handsome swimmer who takes a daily dip in the river Dart, which gets jealous when he turns up one day with a girlfriend.
