Don't usually venture to Old Street to eat but I was in the area with my other half and his dad who had been here before. It was sooooo good, I would 100% go back to the area just to pay this little gem a second visit! It's very traditional in all senses of the word, ridiculously cosy and the staff are super attentive and friendly. Don't expect fanciful decor or a modern atmosphere, but do expect a lot of character! Don't be fooled by the size of the restaurant either, what it lacks in size it makes up for in flavours! We had a veggie sharing board packed to the brim with cheeses, olives, asparagus, shallots, mushrooms, the list goes on! To follow we all had different pasta dishes, and they were 10/10 across the board. If you happen to be wandering down Rivington Street any time soon, be sure to pop in here for some hearty, soul-warming Italian food.

Understated & amazing! This is the keyser Söze of Italian restaurants! On first entering what appears to be a small deli type cafe, I was a little dubious. As one I am a coeliac so can't eat wheat and two I don't usually venture so far to eat! There were only two of us and another table (early eve), so the italian waitress asked if she could read the menu to us off the black boards hand written each day! From then on I was hooked! Not only because the food was freshly arranged by the chef each day but also the attention paid to sourcing a variety of italian regional produce! For example Sardinian pecorino cheese! I had the best T-bone steak! This place is all about the love of food which isn't what going out to eat is all about?
