Restaurants, Italian Chelsea

GOAT is a venue of three parts: the Italian restaurant, a DJ bar called DRINK and a hidden speakeasy behind secret entrance. Upon entering the ground floor restaurant, you'll be greeted by the delicious scents of wood-fired pizza, grilled meats and sweet desserts. A swift nip upstairs to DRINK (open Wed-Sat only) provides dancing opportunities until 1am, as well as a regular cocktail masterclass on Thursdays. For the really adventurous, a little detective work (read: ask the staff) will uncover the secret entrance to GOAT's Chelsea Prayer Room, an atmospherically lit speakeasy that's open 7pm-1am on Fridays and Saturdays.

This place is just down the street from me and their outside tables are always packed on a sunny afternoon. I was pleasantly surprised when I went for dinner here as it's gorgeously cozy inside and the staff are absolutely lovely. We had the tuna tartar to start which was fresh and simple but beautifully presented. I had the monkfish for main whilst my friend has the rabbit. Both were positively delicious. I went on another occasion trying the chicken with risotto and a pizza. Again, the food was super yummy and the staff were wonderful. It's a bit pricey so just keep that in mind but the food is worth the price tag. Great place.

Goat is a cosy restaurant with really friendly staff, delicious food and a nice assortment of cocktails. Although they did get my order wrong, they were incredibly apologetic about it and brought us a round of free drinks while we waiting for my actual dish to come out. The portions are small, too small for the kinds of prices they charge if you ask me so don't turn up starving hungry! But then again, this isn't the kind of area where people worry about how much dinner costs.

New update!

After my last horrific experience of this bar/restaurant I decided to give it another go ... 3 years later.... It was the best thing I'd done that week as it had improved so so much from my last visit!

It was cleaner, brighter and the food tastier.

Their cocktails were absolutely delicious and we spent a good 2 & a half hours here basking in the ambiance.. I will be back over and over again and more regularly now!

Only good things to say about Goat. First of all, locations makes it quite a handy hangout. It is just off busier Chelsea's Kings road, therefore you can stop by here before you go out in Chelsea, or even come here for brunch. Italian food selection is tasty and I am definitely coming back here to try more dishes.

I arranged a Hen party to dine here before going onto Maggies next door. The service was super friendly and the food was very tasty. Definitely can recommend it!

I had lunch here with a friend and loved the service and food was simply delicious, high recommend it.
