Steak & Lobster
Tim Winter

Steak & Lobster gives diners two choices - dry-aged rib-eye steak or fresh whole lobster. Side orders such as onion rings and steak bites add variety to an otherwise simple and satisfying menu, where either of your two main course options will set you back by £20 a pop. The menu is straightfoward, the Warren Street setting is chic and the cocktails will knock your socks off.

This is the kind of place that would make a hardened pescatarian take up meat. The steaks are to die for! Beautifully presented when they arrive the staff are also on hand to explain particular cuts and ages for the perfect choice and there are so many choices to be made. To be fair to pescatarians my daughter (13) ordered trout which was tasty and deboned at the table for her. It's a great place for a celebration, which this visit was.

what's not to love - it's like going to the theatre and there is no interval and its only an hour long. It's simple. Steak or Lobster. We went Steak and it was a beautiful cut and melted in the mouth. You get unlimited fries and salad which is a bonus although they were slow to bring out the extra salad. The staff were friendly and the drinks hit the spot my partner had a rather lovely Mojito. Only downside was that none of the machines they use to take payment were working and they asked if they could escort me to an ATM. after a rather lengthy debate with the supervisor we agreed he would take my credit card details and process later but it seems ridiculous that they have no back up when their systems go down. If it wasn't for that I'd have gone 4*

Walked into the restaurant and there was not anyone to take my friends and I to our seats. We were left standing around not too sure if we had to seat ourselves even though we had reservations. After 5 minutes we were seated, and the waiter gave us the menu's. I ordered the lobster and had some of my friends steak. The lobster was below average standard and the steak was way to oily. The chips and salad was the best part of the meal, took me 20mins+ to get ketchup after I stood up and walked towards the waiters because they were no where to be seen. They do not even ask if they food is okay. Nandos HAVE A BETTER SERVICE. The women in the black shirt was rude and looked like she did not want to be there. Background music was awkward. The restaurant basically ruined by friends birthday dinner. Waste of money and worst experience ever ! On a positive note; the restuarant looked nice and posh.
