Brixton Give & Take Market

Brixton Market is hosting its third Give & Take Market, a new twist on the barter system and a fantastic initiative to promote recycling. Everything 'on sale' will be given away for absolutely nada – and amazingly, you don't even need to donate anything to reap the benefits of all the free stuff. How does it work? Well, from 9.30am to noon, volunteers will be on the street at Popes Road and Brixton Road accepting, sorting and weighing donations, which will then be distributed to market stalls. Then, from noon to 3.30pm, anyone is welcome to load up on pre-loved goodies like clothing, books, houseware, musical instruments and who knows what else - for free, zip, nothing!
