The portion of Camden Market that specialises in arts and crafts plus street food.

Confusingly, several distinct markets make up what people call Camden Market. Camden Lock Market is, as its name suggests, the one by the lock on the Regent's Canal. Open every day from 10am, it’s an arts and crafts haven with covered retail units specialising in scarves, shoes, hand-stitched leather goods, custom Converse, Fairtrade jewellery and loads more. If you’re a lover of vintage clothes, you’ll find plenty to drain your bank balance.

The market’s outdoor section is dominated by street-food stalls catering to all tastes: try New York-style pizza, vegan curries, coconut pancakes, souvlaki, fish and chips, or even a metre-long sausage. On a fine day, you can grab a seat and munch while watching the barges go by. Bliss. Nick Levine.

Definitely one of London’s more diverse and unique locations! As soon as you enter the market the waft of fragrant smells from the multi-cultural food stalls to the quirky little thrift shops overcome you! The atmosphere and vibe of the market is electric and every turn down the narrow alleys of shops and market stalls welcomes you to a new visual sensation! Many of the stalls sell one-off items that you will literally find nowhere else in London! Perfect if you’re looking for a gift that is a little different! Make sure to go to the market hungry as there are lots of food stalls to choose from and sample! A personal favourite of mine is the cereal killer café which has recently opened at the bottom of the stables. They have hundreds of brands of cereals from around the world that you can pick along with your favourite flavoured milk to create a cereal cocktail! Definitely something diverse! A trip to Camden makes for a fun and unique day out!

More than a market; a great place to browse, shop, eat and mingle with people from all over the world.

Camden Lock is one of the best quirky shopping destinations in London. Whatever gift you are looking for, you are bound to find something unusual here. I love the jewellery stalls around here

Such a great mix of stalls and drinking places. There is always something to do or see. I hope they never close it down...although yo do get a bit nervous with all the residential building work that is going on around.
