Known for its low prices and thus much loved by impecunious artists and designers (there’s a discount for those with student cards), Cass Art stocks a stellar array of artistic materials in its outlets across the capital. Its flagship store in Islington, tucked just behind the Islington Green end of Essex Road, spans three large floors and sells everything from sketchbooks, Moleskine notebooks, sheet paper and brushes to easels, wooden mannequins, canvases and portfolios, in a browser-friendly setting. There are inks, markers, oils, acrylics, watercolours and pastels in every conceivable colour and a good crafts section downstairs.

Cass'art is a brilliant art and crafts shop. It's absolutely huge and the range of choices is amazing. If you get on their email listing or get the royalty card you can get some pretty good discounts and offers. It's always worth going during the sales, they're really good over that period.

The staff is very helpful and knows it all, you can't go wrong and always find what you need. I miss the time I had student discount!!...

I love the fantastic choice of paper and pens. The staff are really friendly and helpful too.

With not enough artist supply shops in London, this place is heaven! Professional materials as well as fun things for kids!

The most amazing shop, that inspires, explores and helps create. Staff are amazing and helpful! A must visit, so glad I found it!!!!

Fantastic shop, a paradise for the artist but also full of interesting and useful 'stuff' for the rest of the world.

Cass Art has become one of the most invaluable adjuncts to the creative life of london. Without it so many students, artists, both young and old, professional or amateur would not be able to buy all the different materials needed for their work. The encouragement that Cass Art gives to all its different clientale by virtue of low prices, workshops and advice is unique as far as genuine concern for the needs of the customer is concerned.
Most of it's staff seem to be Artists, many from different disciplines, so Cass also acts as a Patron for the Arts by employing practicing Artists or recent graduates in order for them to earn money to supplement their income.

This store is an inspirational sweety shop for artists and a must-see! Their Lowest Price Guarantee matches any price you find lower there and then, and the Rewards card gives you a £10 Reward every time you build up over £100 of purchases. Love it!

You want something to be creative - they have it. Staff are friendly and offer good advice and the range of arts materials is awesome.

Super helpful and knowledgeable staff around to help you navigate the shop full of all of the art goodies you could ever want. Great prices and the store also hosts regular events.

Very good staff with a decent knowledge of art materials and its uses. If you need something for art, you can most often find it here.

As a fashion designer student I find Cass art the treasure trove to all things arty and they do the best prices too. Art will always be expensive but at least you can get relatively lower prices here.

An absolute heaven for all artists, whatever their age or ability. Cass Art has several stores across London - but it is the flagship branch in Islington that I REALLY recommend a visit to. Three floors filled with absolutely anything and everything you could possibly need, all at low prices and even lower for students. Their slogan "Lets fill this town with artists" really sums up their whole attitude and ethos, putting students and young people high on their priorities! Cass Art also run some workshops and talks which you can find on their website! Colour and creativity just radiate throughout this store - with delightful quotes scattered across the walls and arty people wandering the aisles, all their staff are also artists - so are incredibly informative whatever you want to ask.
