There are few more festive spots in London than this. Set is Somerset House’s West Wing overlooking the skating rink, this impressive pop-up features a Narnia-esque corridor bedecked in lights and foliage. Dozens of airy rooms are occupied by micro-shops with the emphasis on Brit-brands so you’ll find rooms devoted to Brora cashmere, Murdock grooming products and BoBelle London bags and leather goods. Pick up prettily-packaged toiletries in the fragrant Crabtree and Evelyn room and quirky Katie Spragg ceramics in the brilliant Handmade in Britain room (a must). Our favourite space belongs to design website Theo – here you can pick up original design-themed gifts and covetable home stuff like Donna Wilson knitted cushions and Ed Carpenter’s pigeon lights. If you are exhausted after all that, down a refreshing glass of bubbles in the Champagne room as you watch the skaters go by. Chin chin!
