Scarlet Rage Vintage
Does north London need another vintage shop? We didn’t think so until we stepped into Scarlet Rage Vintage. It’s the retail baby of stylist and vintage fiend Jade Stavri. Her bright and breezy shop is a welcome addition to the Crouch End line-up, as favoured by media mummies, because Starvi has made affordability her forte. With years of experience picking the best vintage clothes dating back to the Victorian era – we spotted some incredible Edwardian pieces and a stunning hand-painted 1920s silk dress – Starvi only selects the best for her rails. But unlike other vintage traders, she doesn’t whack up the prices. Turnover of stock is fast: it’s replenished on a weekly basis. We found an elegant floral-print bias-cut 1930s gown for £110 and a 1950s day dress for £40. The shop also stocks a good range of retro accessories (from £5 for earrings and £12 for handbags). Sadly, Frank, the in-store sausage dog is not for sale.

I wonder why the site has so many good reviews. Clearly there are nice clothes, but also quite expensive. So I ordered at Sale and was fairly disappointed. Clearly one must be in mind, the dresses are true vintage and no longer in perfect condition, but clothing with holes and strong yellowed collar is not fine. But worse, I found the funny red/brown spot in the crotch of the pants. You really wonder if it could be old blood.

Because it was a sale clothing, no withdrawal could be made and no view from the seller for the defect. I have never had to do this experience at other shops. If this had been clear from the beginning, I wouldn't have bought the things! Waisted money and fun for the garbage... By the way, it was Christmas gifts, and that was pretty uncomfortable! If you are researched enough, you will definitely find better for maybe even less money.

Really great Vintage clothes store. All the clothes are original and from 1920's - 1950's. Great handbags and shoes as well. Clean and well organised with super friendly staff.

This step back in time is glorious. Jade and the team (Frank too) know their stuff, and stock top of the range, superb vintage wear and accessories. Not cheap, but always worth it.

I have to totally agree with the person below..this shop is a gold mine of beautiful things from the 1920s to the 1950s. It's my one stop vintage shop!!

The most amazing vintage shop I've found in London!!! Staff and owner are super friendly always willing to help and they know the stock which is ever changing inside and out. They sell true vintage at affordable prices and you don't get that musty vintage smell!! It's a breath of fresh air this place. They also just started a shop online selling there pieces. It's free postage so on days like this I can still buy amazing vintage!!
