Shepherds Bush Market

A west London stalwart that has moved with the times.

Shepherd’s Bush Market, which runs from Uxbridge Road to Goldhawk Road, has served west London for over 100 years. Having successfully campaigned against development and the arrival of a Boxpark, the market, which operates six days a week from 9am-6pm (it’s closed on Sundays), offers fresh produce, clothing, crafts, fabrics and all kinds of multicultural foods, both fresh and cooked (head to Café 2000 for fab falafels).

For a vibrant food-focused experience, visit Old Laundry Yard, which can be accessed via the market or from a separate entrance on Goldhawk Road. This old laundry now houses 72 shipping containers where you can buy street food, much of it from local vendors. There’s also a community space for workshops and events. Alim Kheraj

Open every day of the week (except Sundays), this is a fantastic and varied market, selling everything from fresh fish and meat, through to some of the most outrageous duvet covers you'll ever see. Located in a passageway that runs between Goldhawk Rd tube and Shepherd's Bush Market tube, this is London at it's best - full of life and characters, with lots of nice foods to try.

Tastemaker Tip - there are around 5 or 6 falafel stalls in and around She Bu market, but the best one has to be Mr Falafel - delicious, large and good value wraps, made fresh.

A typical local London market, this is a great place to go if you want to experience 'real' London. Selling pretty much everything you could be after, the market and nearby shops maintain an air of what Shepherds Bush was probably always like before Westfield moved into the area! I am a frequent visitor to nearby Goldhawk road, where you can find a wealth of fabric shops and I make sure to browse the market every time I'm there too!

Very close to the mall, but totally different. Recommended for those who want to visit a "local" market, where you can find many products (from clothes to suitcases) and quite cheap too.

Fruit&vegs here are absolutely amazing - wide variety and reasonable prices. Strongly recommended.
