10 Nights

Pioneering theatre companies Graeae and Tamasha team up for this new drama from playwright Shahid Iqbal Khan. It follows Yasser, a young Muslim who decides to take part in itikaf, that is, sleeping and fasting at his mosque for the last ten days of Ramadan. He rapidly comes to regret his decision, annoyed by his fellow devotees and missing the comforts of the outside world. But as time wears on, he comes to a more serious emotional crisis. Kash Arshad directs the two-hander, which stars Safyan Iqbal and Zaqi Ismail.
