MimeLondon – which is effectively the same idea as the technically now-defunct London International Mime Festival – launches with this enticingly weird-looking show from France’s Les Antliaclastes (who were seen at LIMF in 2019 with the acclaimed ‘Waltz of the Hommelettes’). ‘Ambergris’ is – as the name kind of suggests – a retelling of the Pinocchio story set inside the belly of a whale. Puppetry and masks are used to create a weird, enticing world.
