Fulham Opera presents the preliminary evening of Wagner's mighty tetralogy 'Der Ring des Nibelungen'. When the dwarf Alberich renounces love to steal the gold from the Rhinemaidens, he sets in train a series of events that spell doom for the gods. Cast includes Robert Presley (Alberich), Zoë South (Woglinde), Elizabeth Capener (Wellgunde), Sara Gonzalez (Flosshilde) and Ian Wilson-Pope (Wotan). The director is Fiona Williams; the musical director is Benjamin Woodward. (Sung in German; fully staged with piano accompaniment.)
