It's a Bird... It's a Plane... It's Superman

This ludicrously titled musical arrives in the UK for the first time since its premiere on Broadway in 1966. We just don't know whether or not that delay has something to do with the show's title, but the piece is based on the comic book, lycra-clad hero we all know and love - Superman.  Charles Strouse - who wrote 'Annie' - and Lee Adams ('Bye Bye Birdie') wrote the score, while the book has been penned by Davd Newman and Robert Benton - who wrote screenplays for several of the 'Superman' movies, no less. There's only one question we have: will there be flying?
