King Lear

A new production of Shakespeare's dark tragedy where King Lear is sent mad by his conniving three daughters and the carving up of his lands. The Rose Playhouse Bankside is the remains of one of the first theatres in London and this piece is staged above the ruins and archaeological site. John McEnery stars in the title role and Benjamin Blyth directs.
